About ARCH’s locator
ARCH says the National Respite Locator Service “helps parents, family caregivers, and professionals find respite services” in their state and local area. ARCH itself “does not provide respite care.”
ARCH is clear about what its list isn’t: it “is not a complete list of all the respite programs that exist,” a listing “does not represent an endorsement,” and ARCH doesn’t check providers’ backgrounds. Families are responsible for checking a provider’s experience, background checks and qualifications before hiring.
If you only call one place, the Eldercare Locator connects you to services for older adults and their families where your parent lives.
